Tarot is perhaps the most popular form of divination in use today. Historians
can’t pinpoint its absolute inception, but the first known decks are from the
medieval period. Some believe though that the actual symbols contained in the
tarot are much older and have been passed down from Ancient Egypt. Whatever
it’s beginnings may be, the tarot is a powerful system not only for
divination, but also meditation, reflection and self-direction.
