 BACCHUS/DIONYSUS PLAQUE: To the Greeks he was known as Dionysus, the Twice-Born, to the Romans his name was Bacchus. Most well known as the God of wine and orgiastic frenzy, this God-form is also, along with Osiris in the Egyptian pantheon, an archetypal predecessor of the Christ figure. Hand-painted resin, 5.5" in diameter.  PSYCHE: The butterfly as a metaphor for reincarnation was one of humanity's earliest spiritual teachings. The Labrys, her face shape, was a many layered symbol of Death and Rebirth in a single object. 6" plaque of hydrostone finished in violet, gold and silver.
