Jet is also known as witches' amber. It is an excellent stone for self-exploration and aligns with the first (base) chakra. Beware of letting a piece of jet that has been in your possession for a long time slip into other people's hands, as it absorbs the etheric being of the possessor. It is very calming to wear, and can help you through stressful times, as well as relieving depression. I LOVE JET!!!
