Montague Whitsel is a student of
Celtic traditions; a Celtic Poet, Thinker and Mystic. He teaches Pagan
Celtic spirituality and gives talks on Celtic mythology and mysticism. He
holds a BA in Anthropology, an MA in History and an MA in
Sociology, a BA major in Philosophy in 1989 and an MTS degree in Theology &
Biblical Studies. Montague is the author of two books:
The Fires
of Yule: A Keltelven Guide to
Celebrating the Winter Solstice (2001), is now
available. This book outlines a Pagan schedule for celebrating a sacred
pattern that he calls "The Thirteen Dayes of Yule." The second text is
WellSprings of the Deer: A Contemporary Celtic Spirituality (2002).
The essays listed here are intended to illuminate various aspects of a Pagan Celtic spirituality. Though they are grounded in a researched account of ancient Celtic societies, they are not mere reflections of the past. Rather, Mr. Whitsel has here created contemporary presentations of ancient ideas and themes that can be adopted by the Celtic practitioner or mystic in the 21st century.
