September opens with the Sun and Mercury conjunct in gentle Virgo. The mind is now focused on manifestation. On Monday the 4th Pluto returns to direct motion allowing those with planets at 24 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) to finally release and begin the process of moving forward. September 7th brings us the Full Moon eclipse at
Lunar eclipses tend to bring up our emotions around relationships. The theme of service and beauty, a desire for improvement, peace, and equanimity are found in these two signs. As the beginning of the harvest season, this is a good time to analyze what we find ourselves reaping. Individuals born into the signs of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius may find themselves dealing with the process of change and transformation particularly in matters of health and/or relationship. Those born into or who happen to have planets in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius and are dealing with authority and/or commitment issues will find matters accelerating with this eclipse cycle. Virgo is the analyst while Pisces is the visionary; Virgo discerns while Pisces designs. At this time we must discern the design of our future by taking responsibility for the ideal we want to create. To do this we must first be 'real' about our mind set (Virgo) and its creations (Pisces). Do we truly live the ideal we long to be? Mars moves into Libra on this Full Moon as does Mercury on the 12th, introducing the dynamic need for balance.
On Friday Sept. 15th the Venus/Uranus opposition along with the Mercury-Mars conjunction can create a vortex of rash and disruptive energies bringing up the most unexpected dynamic. Saturday's Sun/Pluto square can create lasting repercussions to any unwise words or actions committed on Friday.
On Friday Sept. 22 the Sun and Moon join for the second Virgo New Moon creating a solar eclipse that can be seen in parts of South America and Africa. The second same-sign New Moon is know as the Sidhe or Faerie's Moon and was believed to be a most potent 'between world' time. It is the second new moon in the same star constellation in a 30-day time span. It is also called the Black Moon in some traditions and is considered an extremely powerful time for ritual and ceremony. The Sun enters Libra on this day late in the evening energizing the desire for peaceful relations. Libra is the sign of the Lover, the Flirt and Diplomat. When Libra's energies dominate the skies we long for intimate connection. Venus will also enter Libra on Sept 30th further strengthening the Libran energies.
