5 of 5 Highly recommended for meditators with at least so December 19, 2016
Reviewer: Hawk Shadow from Denver, CO
“Meditation” is a term most seekers know. What is missing from most books on the subject is depth. In this book, Young presents both depth and breadth on the topic. This is not a book for beginners. It presents complex theories on consciousness and the meditative experience. The author is brilliant, the writing clear. The preface (required reading!) describes the author as “Shinzen the hard-nosed researcher and Shinzen the poetic dharma teacher…” which is the beauty of this exploration. The author is an empirical scientist who is also a meditation teacher with decades of experience.

This book is a joy, and highly recommended for meditators with at least some experience.
