26 Feb 2008 -  King Soopers comes through again with fast print film developing. Check out the move in and grand opening, along with a couple of shots from the first Psychic Fair on the Photos Page.

16 Feb 2008 -  Hurrah, hurrah! We did it. We opened today in our new location. Stay tuned. In a few days, we'll have pix from the pre-opening party, the move-in, and business as usual - in our shiny, beautiful new store.

31 Jan 2008 -  Tony Beach, designer of outstanding Egyptian art and architecture, got some "work in progress" shots of the columns he designed for the exterior. Check out the rest on the Photos Page.

30 Jan 2008 -  Our resident wannabe photographer came out with her fancy film camera and got some new pictures Monday. Here's a wide-angle shot of one of the treatment rooms. They're still available, so any interested healer/massage therapist/counselor or other sort of practitioner should contact Karen Charboneau-Harrison at karenharrison@isisbooks.com. In other important news, our Grand Opening at the new store is February 16, 2008!
23 Jan 2008 - The Healing Oasis rooms are done. We think they look great - and soothing!

Each room, as you see, has its own (locking) entrance and so may be used outside regular store hours. This will enable instructors or healers to set appointments without the necessity of an Isis employee babysitting them.

There is, you'll notice, a ceiling fan and wall to wall carpetting. Our webmistress especially likes the louvered interior shutters. They provide such a soft, gentle light.

There are numerous electrical outlets and wifi will be available. Advertising space will be available for purchase in our print newsletter and there will be link exchanges available for our website, www.isisbooks.com.
We're really looking forward to welcoming healing practitioners of various disciplines into our world. We'll be expanding our Alternative Healing section after we move into our new home.

We also eagerly anticipate attending classes and getting treatments ourselves. We're looking forward to the beverage shop, too. And the parking!
17 Jan 2008 -  We're progressing nicely on the interior work, but the cold and recent snow are slowing down the work on the exterior.

We've moved our opening date to 15 February due in part to this, in part to the monumental undertaking (pardon the pun) of our revitalization of the building. We're still open at our Colfax location, so be sure to stop in and take advantage of the bargains there.

21 Dec 2007 - Application of the final glaze coat has begun on the lapis sky ceiling in the new store space. A major part of the exterior has been painted and work will begin soon on the Egyptian columns on the facade of the building. Preparation of the treatment rooms in the Healing Oasis is nearly complete.
 

7 Dec 2007  - We are now painting and installing tile in the main retail space as well as in the Healing Oasis treatment rooms. All the treatment rooms/offices should be completed in the next two weeks. The ceiling in the Isis Books will be an Egyptian lapis blue sky and will be painted by renowned Denver artist Tony Beach. Tony has also designed Egyptian columns for the exterior facade which will be incredible!  It looks like the new space will exceed all our expectations. You are going to LOVE it.

 
17 Nov 2007  Reconfiguration of the space has begun as well as the removal of old carpeting, floor coverings and wallpaper. The main room which the bookstore will occupy features lovely stained glass windows in an Art-Deco, Neo-Egyptian style.
 

11 Nov 2007 - Welcome to our Progress WebLog for the NEW location of Isis Books & Gifts. We'll be using this space to let you know where we are on the build-out and the move in. We will be doing business as usual at our current Colfax Avenue location while we're working on our new home. Please call or come by!
