As the wheel of the year turns, cycle unto cycle, we leave the harshness of the Winter Season, and look forward to the Spring! March is the opportune time to plant magickal seeds in our life and manifest reasonable goals and desires. This spell is for use with plants that will remain indoors.
You will need a clay pot (12 in. in diameter), potting soil, parchment paper, dove's blood ink, (for planting seeds with love), a yellow candle (for growth and nurturing), and Sun oil (for the manifesting powers of the sun), a green quill, and a small starter plant, seeds, or bulbs for growing.
Hardy plants that may be used for this spell include: Ivy, Philodendron, and Jade tree. The above listed hearty plants are great for people on the go and or people with little cultivating experience. Plants for the experienced green thumb include: Crocus, Daffodils, Coleus, and Morning Glories.
Plan ahead what you would like this Spell to help you manifest. One theme, or set of goals, should be done per spell. Let's say that Spiritual Development is the theme for your "Magickal Seed Spell". Write a list of desired growth you would like to achieve such as:
Increase Self love
Improve my intuition
Increase the effectiveness of my meditation
More positive thinking
Effective spell casting
Better understanding
More compassion
Accepting responsibility
Stronger connection with Goddess
Empower energy flow
You can write as many desires and goals as you like, but stay within your theme.
Sunday morning, close to the New Moon, is the best time to start this ever-growing spell. Create your sacred space. Anoint the yellow candle with Sun oil, from bottom to wick and back, then light it. Focus on the fertility of Spring and the success of your "Magickal Seed Spell".
To Make the Magickal Seeds: Begin by cutting the sheet of parchment paper into rectangles large enough to write one to three words on each. Take the quill and dove's blood ink, dip the quill into the ink, and write your first desire on a single rectangle of parchment. Continue to write each of the desires on separate parchment rectangles, until all of your goals of that theme are created. These are your "Magickal Seeds".
Put 2 cups of potting soil into the clay pot. Using your fingertips, move the soil around until it is even and firm. Put the "Magickal Seeds" in the pot, and cover them with more soil. Put your starter plant, plant seeds, or bulbs in next, and fill the rest of the pot with soil, leaving one inch of room for watering. Take time to give thanks to the Great Mother Earth Goddess and the Great Sun God for empowering your spell. Meditate and know that with work, love, and commitment, your Spiritual growth will be abundant. Let the candle burn out.
That evening, water your "Magickal Seeds plant" at sunset, for water is the ruling element of this time. Be sure and remember to water the "Magickal Seeds Spell" at sunset every Sunday (Sun for growth and fertility) and Thursday (Jupiter for increasing and abundance).
With proper care of your "Magickal Seed Spell" your plant can grow magically with you over time. Transplant the entire spell whenever necessary.
