February opens with the lively Leo Moon Full Moon opposing the Sun, Chiron and Pallas in Aquarius emphasizing the need to 'do your own thing'. In the evening sky we can now see Saturn and the star Regulus near this Full Moon.

Mercury enters sensitive Pisces on the 2^nd, infusing Candlemas celebrations with greater attunement to subtle Divine messages. Mercury in Pisces can be very inspired and romantic, enjoying soft music, old-fashioned cheek to cheek dancing and date movies.

On 2/10 Saturn will be at its nearest point to the Earth giving us its brightest display. On 2/13 Mercury, the planet associated with thinking, communication and travel, will begin its apparent retrograde motion until 3/7. This is an excellent time to let your imagination take flight. Creative activities and intuitive processes are favored now, while buying appliances, cars and computers is not.

Valentine's Day finds the Moon in conservative and traditional Capricorn favoring the tried and true. The Aquarius New Moon on 2/17 at 9:14 AM MST heralds the Chinese and Tibetan New Years here. Aquarius is a progressive sign, open to the new and original. This is an excellent time to consider a new list of New Year's objectives that have nothing to do with 'shoulds' but instead, favor the unexplored and unconventional, at least for you. Write down what you would love to do on one list and then make a second list with all the reasons why you won't do what you would enjoy. Burn the second list as a symbolic way of releasing the obstacles that hold you back from exploring your heart's desire.

On Sunday 2/18 the Sun moves into the peace-orientated and visionary sign of Pisces. This is an excellent day to review your tune collection and take time to immerse yourself in fantasy or perhaps a movie marathon. Pisces is a sign that thrives on timelessness through escaping the mundane. Daydreams and whimsy are realms at which Pisceans excel and we can all appreciate a dose of that now with so many of the planets positioned here.

Venus, the relationship planet, moves into dynamic and aggressive Aries on 2/21, creating a month of favorable aspects to the professional and social outer planets. Mercury re-enters alternative-oriented Aquarius on 2/26, favoring teamwork and catching up on communications.
